Location: Nebraska. My biological father died in Kansas, and my half-sister is handling the estate. Her attorney arranged a DNA test for me back in February, but I still haven’t been given the results or much information. I’m listed on the probate case as an interested party. Could the estate move forward or close without properly establishing whether I’m an heir? Is there anything I should do now to protect myself from missing a deadline or being left out?
