Entry of Unit During Continuance

Location: Illinois I am trying to get my case together need to know how far I should take this. I had a prior arrangement with the now former management of my apartment complex and was catching up on rent due to losing my job. At the time of being told I was being evicted I was 2 months behind. New management came saying "We do not do payment arrangements” and that I was being evicted. I have receipts from the property of my partial payments.They gave my mom a post it of the case number and their attorneys phone number. I was never served so of course i got a continuance. The reason why prior management was working with me I imagine is because of the poor condition my unit was in on move in date. I have time stamped photo evidence as well as the original lease. Unit was unfinished with light fixtures hanging off of their wires and tools and debris littered the carpet. My refrigerator went out 2-3 months after move in I contacted them about it and was told they were unaware of when the issue would be fixed. I have the timestamped email. I had to get one from Aarons. I currently do not have a refrigerator in my unit because I could not afford it any longer. Today my mom was taking a bath and heard voices. Come to find out they have entered my unit without notice. There is also water damage they tried painted over. Of course it comes through the paint and makes it worse. They did so before an inspection from the state. That was here when I moved in. Mom called the cops after their entry. I know this is all over the place I am currently at work and am frustrated with all of this. I already reached out to their attorney prior to our court date which was the 31st of July to negotiate a move date. I do not want an eviction on my record AT ALL so i can find a new place to live. I need guidance as to how I should navigate my negotiations and honestly if I should sue them.
