Whitney M. Matney attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  During law school, she served on the Board of Advocates, was a member of the W.B. Putman Inn of Courts, won first place in the Closing Argument Competition, and received the "Best Oralist" award for her appellate brief argument.  Whitney clerked for The Honorable Judge John Scott in Benton County, Arkansas, where she developed a passion for client advocacy and litigation.  This passion remains with her today.  She is willing to tackle any legal challenge for any client, at any time.. Whitney gained experience clerking in the areas of civil litigation, domestic relations, personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.  Whitney also has experience with criminal defense.  She obtained her Rule XV Student Attorney Certification during her last semester of law school, and represented clients in their appeals from their capital murder cases.  Her work there gave her valuable insight into the fact that Justice should be afforded to all persons, no matter the charges against them..
