Mark S. Drobny was born and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1977 (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and General Sciences), UOP McGeorge Law School in 1980 (J.D.) and 1981 (LL.M-Taxation).
