Steven Basche

433 S. Main St. , West Hartford , Connecticut 06110
Practice Areas: Arbitration, Construction , Corporate , Debtor/Creditor Rights, Mediation, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate, Probate
My mission is simple: I help you protect your family and preserve your assets. I focus on estate planning and business planning. I also help people deal with the probate process in Connecticut, if a loved one has passed away.. Some people think estate planning is only for the very wealthy.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  If you have a home or if you have children, you should have an estate plan, even if it is a simple will, Power of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.. Connecticut probate is supposed to be user friendly, but it has become more complicated.  If you need help after a love one has died, I can help.  Did you know that even if all of your loved ones assets pass outside of probate, you still need to file a non-taxable estate tax return (CT706NT).  Without it, if you or your children want to sell the house, you will have a title issue.  That's why it's important to consult with a lawyer about probate in Connecticut.

Matthew McGoldrick

Firm: CT Divorce Mediation Centers
558 Maple Street , Cheshire , Connecticut 06410
Practice Areas: Mediation
Attorney Matthew G. McGoldrick joined the CT Divorce Mediation Centers in October of 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney McGoldrick’s legal practice was focused on litigating marital and other family matters primarily in Hartford and Middlesex counties. He attended Villanova University as an undergraduate and earned his J.D. degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut.. Throughout his legal career, Attorney McGoldrick was drawn to helping clients navigate the turmoil and confusion that oftentimes is associated with the divorce process. During his time as a litigator, he came to recognize that many divorcing couples could be best served by removing or limiting the adversarial nature of divorce litigation and the court system. Attorney McGoldrick coaches the individuals he works with to begin recognizing shared goals and priorities during the process, thereby guiding the spouses to focus on moving themselves and their families forward into the next phases of post-marriage life.. Attorney McGoldrick believes that the Mediation and Collaborative approaches to divorce allow the individuals to preserve their dignity and the personal relationships that have been constructed throughout the marriage, which will remain imperative to protecting the communication between divorcing parents.. By providing a safe space for divorcing couples to begin disentangling themselves from one another other, he helps his clients focus on what post-marriage life may look like and begin jointly developing a separation agreement for their family moving forward.. Attorney McGoldrick has earned certification in divorce mediation from the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce and collaborative divorce training from the Collaborative Practice Training Institute.

I feel strongly about bringing civility back to the legal profession. Donna Convicer

Firm: Law Offices of Donna D. Convicer, LLC
66 DANFORTH LANE , WEST HARTFORD , Connecticut 06110
Practice Areas: Mediation
I represent my clients completely, focusing on what they really want as a result and working with them and their partner to get there.  Some of my Family Law clients stay married.  These partners stay married because I recognize that they have issues in their relationships, but do not want to be divorced.  If both parties agree that they want to preserve their marriage, I engage in marital mediation to resolve the issues that are causing the difficulties.. I believe that no one gets married to get divorced.  Family is most important.  If a family can remain intact, it is the best result.. If a couple needs to divorce, I work with my client to do this in the least expensive and traumatic manner possible.  I encourage Mediation and Collaborative Divorce wherever possible.  Mediation is where both parties work with a Mediator to resolve their issues and come to their own agreement.  In Collaborative Divorce, each party has an attorney who must be Collabotatively trained, and the parties sign a contract that they will not go to Court regarding issues but will work within the Collaborative process to do so.  Both Mediation and Collaborative Divorce save money, personal energy, stress, and time.  Also, these processes are private so peoples' most personal business remains out of the Court spotlight.. Family Law issues are most difficult and stressful for my clients.  I work with them to resolve their matters with as little stress and expense as possible.
