location: Georgia this case starts off in August 2024 (two years ago) At the time I was a maintenance technician at a local apartment complex and we just switched ownership a few days prior. We had new people in the office and a new property manager. The only people that stayed with the company where the maintenance technicians. I got a work order that stated an apartment was vacant, and when we went into the apartment, it was a mess. There were clothes, trash, and animal feces everywhere. There were no lights and no running water, so it seemed like a normal clear out, just a little more filthy. The tenant at the time still had two days on their lease, but we didn’t know that. we got the work order to clear out the apartment so we started the process. We opened all the cabinets and opened the fridge to air them out out as everything in both were moldy and disgusting, as we always do. we took anything valuable that was in there before starting the process of throwing out the random trash and unwanted stuff they left behind. we took a step ladder, an old computer, and a small TV and left the back door open to allow the apartment to clear out as the ammonium smell and rotting smell was too much to handle for an extended period of time. Location: Cobb county Georgia. Got caught speeding on 75 north. 106 in a 55. Officer “paced” me with less than 500 feet of following with no consistent gap. Ended up getting impounded and spent 10 hours in Cobb county jail. Charges are reckless driving and speeding 106 in a 55. 22 year old male with no prior offenses. Paid the $875 bail and have a court date 3 months from now. Got a quote for $1600 from ticket clinic to defend the case. Wondering if I should explore other options and what I should expect in terms of consequences. I expect probation, community service, extensive fines, and possible suspension. Really more so worried about further jail time. Should I explore more options for legal advice and lawyers? Should I take a defensive driving course immediately?

I have 2 felony charges. 1.FELONY BURGLARY 2.FELONY PROPERTY DAMAGE. For context I went to an abandoned house and the person I was with broke a window in the backdoor of the house to get in. We were inside the house looking around in the living room when the neighbor saw us and starting yelling at the backdoor that’s when the person I was with started breaking down the front door to get out (for reference this was a really small house with only one story and you could see the front door from the back) after we got out of the front door I ran but I came back shortly later and waited with the neighbor for the police to come. I was arrested and released same day. I have court on August 31st and I really don’t know what to do in this situation.
