William E. “Ned” Cannon received his B.A. from Wofford College with a major in sociology where he was on scholarship as a Wofford scholar. He then went on to obtain his J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. While there, he was selected to participate in the William A. Bootle Inn of Court and appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court Committee on Access and Fairness in the Courts, a position held by only one law student in the State of Georgia. After completing his J.D., Mr. Cannon served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Philip C. Smith, Chief Judge of the State Court of Forsyth County.
