Location: Iowa. I’m a breastfeeding mother, and federally (per the PUMP act) I am entitled to a break (the law does not specify an amount of time) every 2-3 hours to pump. I do not have this conversation recorded because it was in the middle of busy restaurant service, but here you go: I work in a busy local restaurant, so pumping has been very difficult to get my boss to “agree” to. My boss states that he can’t just get another server to watch my tables for 20-30mins because “they’ll start asking for more tips” and he can’t get a manager to come in and cover me because of labor costs. He stated that if HIS boss, the owner, noticed that my shifts always had more labor costs on them, his boss would tell him to “just fire” me. Now, I know he wouldn’t just fire me. He would severely cut my hours until I quit. Otherwise I’d gladly let him fire me and get that unemployment check. But that’s beside the point…I told my boss that by federal law I am entitled to a break to pump, and he said if he told his boss that, his boss would tell me to get a lawyer. Location: Iowa A local vet has killed a crazy amount of pets. The amount of people whose pets have been harmed or killed by him is ridiculous and I assume the only reason he is still practicing is because nobody has the funds to sue. I had my own experiences with him and his negligence. I personally know multiple others who have as well. There are public reviews of his practice on Facebook and Google that highlight other pets he's killed and neglected. His previous employer and coworkers have spoken about his hatred of animals. The things he's done would (or should) absolutely get his veterinary license revoked if the right people knew about it. I'm not looking to start a lawsuit because I don't have the funds and am not looking for advice relating to such. I need to know what legal reprocussions might come from starting a Facebook group for people who've had negative experiences with this veterinarian and/or his practice. Is publicly sharing that he's killed people's pets grounds for legal action from his side? I've seen similar Facebook groups calling out alleged cheaters and pedophiles, but the people with such accusations against them weren't exactly in a great position to take legal action, so I need to know what guidelines I should follow to make people aware of this vet's actions while also not getting myself into legal trouble for it.

Quick back story (in the US - Iowa) I have been working for a company for 1.5 years. Started off as an inventory manager/yard specialist, and worked up to a Production Manager position. Went through the whole rigmarole of OSHA certifications, sigma lean manufacturing, building departments, etc. As we were growing I started to take on more and more responsibilities. This included HR, hiring process, payroll, procurement, building the Shipping/Receiving team, and sometimes maintenance. When I started we had 10 employee and when I put in my two weeks, I was overseeing 30 people roughly. I have never signed an employee handbook - as the CEO, Plant Manager, and myself have been constantly updating it. I worked both sides of the clock, worked onsite 80% of the time and at home 20%. This included weekends. I asked the new Director of Ops if I could have the 13th and 14th of July off as well as asking the Plant Manager if I could take the 13th off as I had worked the majority of Sunday July 12th. The Plant Manager said “I don’t see why not” and the DOO approved it. On Monday the 13th, I then put in my two week notice in. It wasn’t received well, and turned a little weird and unprofessional. After that I had broken communication from the DOO and was told on Thursday the 16th (8am) that I don’t need to come back to the office. I thought it was strange, but figured they…
