The situation I have been on ADA work accommodations for about 2.5 years. (Don't qualify for FMLA) I have had the same disability, nothing has changed but they make me recertify randomly, It has been denied for "paperwork errors" "doesn't meet business need" ect.... then I wait and reapply again and it goes through. This time the process went off the rails and work suddenly feels intense. Back story: I asked for an accommodation about my hours/schedule. Business level solution was implemented. Basically, instead of a set schedule they put you on split shifts when the business needs it and hours are reduced to 25 week. It seemed like a good idea but my condition requires medication times to stay the same....It didn't work, went back to my regular hours. Asked for intermittent leave, doctor filled it out. In the middle of May I told my ADA rep I needed an additional 4 hours for June for medical issue related to disability. No reply until middle of June, ADA deemed ineffective. Not able to reliably attend work. I knew I was struggling, I told them months prior but we went in paperwork circles. I voluntarily bid into a reduced‑hours schedule to improve reliability. Schedule approved and started. Since then: Only ~4 hours missed in ~2 months — major improvement. ADA Paperwork Submitted Employer sends ADA paperwork to my provider. Provider returns completed forms. Forms include: Reduced‑hours schedule Predictable episodic flare blocks Confirmation that essential job functions are impaired without accommodation…

Location: Kansas This is long but bear with me. For the past year I’ve been working at a FedEx location here in the state as a second job. The entire time I’ve worked here I’ve been being harassed by the same woman who used to be in a manager-type position. Everything started after she found out my day job is in broadcasting. The first conversation we ever had she asked me what I do and asked if I’m sure I’m not an intern because she’d never seen me on tv before. From there she started calling me the wrong name on purpose every time we would speak. Then it was loudly applauding every time I come into work because I missed one day and saying things like “oh you actually showed up today.” Whenever we’re waiting on work I lay down on the couches with my jacket over my head. One time she pulled it off of me and pulled my hair in the process to “wake me up” to let me know there was work, but I don’t even go to sleep most times and I have friends who work there who let me know that. After this a rule was created that we can’t lay down anymore. When I did it anyway, she asked me to get up so she could sit down when there were plenty of other seats open.
