Location: saint louis missouri 63123 need some help making sense of a Consent Judgment for a Full Order of Protection issued in St. Louis County, MO (Division 64).My lawyer and I reached a mutual agreement (Consent Order) to settle the case without a trial. The paperwork explicitly states there are "no findings of fault" or abuse against me. However, on Exhibit A, the judge checked the box for "No Firearms", stating I am not permitted to possess firearms or ammo for the duration of the order (until July 2027).Here is where it makes zero sense and my lawyer's office is giving me conflicting advice:The box for "Firearm Relinquishment" is UNCHECKED.The paperwork explicitly says: "Respondent does not need to appear at a compliance hearing or contact the compliance office on this matter."Because those boxes are unchecked and it says I don't need to appear, my lawyer’s office told me I can just "leave it be at home" and that no one is coming to grab it.However, at the very bottom of the same page, there is a printed sentence saying: "Respondent is required to contact the Compliance Staff at (314) 615-0365 immediately..."The gun in question actually belongs to my dad.
