I grew up in the Las Vegas valley, where I attended public school and was raised in a blue collar family with parents who worked in the construction industry.  After high school, I attended BYU, and later graduated from UNLV with a degree in Business Administration.  After graduating from UNLV, I went to law school at the University of Denver, College of Law.  I have been married to a wonderful woman for 31 years.  We have four amazing children; three of whom have college degrees and one is getting ready to graduate and attend college.  We also have three dogsand a cat.  As a family, we are actively involved in our Church.  Throughout the years, I have coached youth soccer and football, and have been actively involved in Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America.. Robert Kern has taken an active role in the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation program from its inception, from testifying at the Supreme Court hearings for drafting the Mediation Rules, to working to amend the rules to make Foreclosure Mediation a stronger program.
