I use the skills I honed though years of work as a litigator to help individuals and businesses obtain and protect their interests. I grew up in Western North Carolina, and after college and law school commissioned in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate. There I began by helping Active Duty military and retirees deal with legal issues ranging from estate planning to landlord-tenant issues. However, due to my skills as a trial attorney, I was ultimately selected to become the lead prosecutor at the installation. After two years, I was selected to become 1 of only 82 defense attorneys in the Air Force. In that job, I was hand-selected for the toughest cases, defending military members in jury trials across the world and even going into Afghanistan during combat operations to defend Airmen at courts-martial. Rated one of the top defense attorneys in Europe, I was then selected to become one of only a few senior prosecutors in the military. However, I declined the offer because I wanted to take my passion for service and skills as an attorney to serve the people of my home in Western North Carolina. Now, at McGuire, Wood & Bissette, I serve with attorneys who share that passion, and collaborate to ensure each client receives the absolute best representation.
