Location: North Carolina, USA My apartment complex was taken over by a new company back in March. The old owners sent out emails fairly regularly on what to expect in recent weeks, events, and most importantly, document requests. Since March, I have heard nothing from this new company. My lease for the apartment I’ve been at for 2 years expired July 5th. I didn’t get an email about renewal until July 15th, 10 days after my lease had already expired. I got a generic email stating my lease expired and I’m now on a month to month rent that’s charging me an extra $450/mo. They stated I have to submit some pay stubs and forms and I can renew. I did this within 48 hours and heard nothing. I’ve gone into my leasing office several times to fix this, they have all of the documentation needed for lease renewal, yet they just won’t send me a new lease. I’ve talked to 3 different people at the office, all stating I need to talk to the property manager (who’s either always in meetings or out in another office and they won’t let me talk to her directly whenever I ask), so I’m not sure what to do. I’ve gone in about 6 times now, sent 2 emails, and several phone calls. I’ve been told they won’t charge me the additional month-to-month rent, just my usual fee until it’s all sorted. This is regarding tenancy rights in North Carolina / early lease termination / delivery of premise Our lease in Raleigh North Carolina began on August 1. WE relocated from another state on the 13th, and arrived at the house late on the 14th. Upon entry of the home the house was left filthy from previous tenants, and lack of landlord cleaning. Dead roaches in all bedrooms / live roaches. Mold in the bathroom on window sill, and on the ceiling along with pealing / failing paint around moldy areas. Dirt and buildup on all crown molding / trim from years of neglect / cleaning from previous tenants. Human and animal hair throughout the house, and toilet left in unsanitary conditions around exterior of toilet and flooring. The windows do not properly seal / close throughout the home as they are very old windows. The ac receivers that blow forced air into the home are "ajar" and not connected to their brackets and just sitting to the side n different locations of the home. The home reeks of cigarettes and animals. The flooring is 3 layers of linoleum flooring and is peeling up across the kitchen and dining areas. Location: North Carolina I was at fault in an accident in a company vehicle in North Carolina in January 2024. I rear ended someone on the highway while I was driving. I was complacent, I don’t really remember what I was looking at, but I think it was my sunglasses since it was in the morning and I was getting lit up. Unfortunately I hit an older couple, one of which had a disability that had her in partial use of a wheelchair (all I know about her). I personally feel horrible about that. My coworker and I actually gave her husband and her chair a ride home while she was taken to get looked at. He told me she was alright, just shaken up. I was given a ticket for failure to reduce speed, which was then dropped when I provided proof of insurance settlement. My car was totaled. Their Toyota actually held up very well. If no frame damage, they probably just needed a new rear bumper, unless their airbags deployed. I don’t know either way. I did not hear anything until about March 2024 when my boss told me that the insurance settled for $100k. I would assume that was their car and personal injury. That’s all I could figure from the notification of settlement from the insurance company. The letter of letter stated “damages” and was not more specific. Fast forward almost 3 years and my employer gets a certified letter for a lawsuit of $25k.…

Location: North Carolina and im working remotely at home. After I recieved my medical accommodation from HR, i was initially told that I would be allowed am extra 30 minute break per day but i would have to clock out to take it. I used it twice in the next two days but i was given points for using it. I emailed my TL about it, who said she was informed but because I didn't do it the correct paperwork for when i used it, so i will get points. Because i was never told about this in the inital email, I try to back date the paperwork, which is asking for very specific times, but because out clock in sheet doesn't give us the time is impossible to know exactly. I email her back and she acknowledges the paperwork was done but nothing else happens. I continue to use my accommodations while now filing out the paperwork and i notice my points are still there and the new accommodations are still adding points. My TL then informs me that because of the time they were used within the first and last hours of my shifts (i have a split shift of 4hrs in the morning, 4 hr break, and 4 hrs at night ALSO as an accommodation that was set months before getting this new TL) that they would stay as points on my record. She claimed this information was coming directly from HR, which again, didn't mention this…
