Edwin A. Abrahamsen, Jr. has been involved in the legal field all his life. He is the son of Ned and Mary Ann Abrahamsen, both who are practicing attorneys. He graduated from Boston College in 2001 and graduated from the Dickinson School of Law at the Pennsylvania State University in 2004. At the time of his application to Dickinson School of Law, he listed over eleven family members that had all been practicing members of the legal field including both his parents and his grandfather, who is currently serving as a federal judge.. Through his practice, Chip has traveled across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, practiced in many courts in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004 as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 2004. Since that time, he has also been admitted in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, housed in Philadelphia, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, in the Federal Court System.. Chip has also taken time to give back to the legal community. He has served on the Lackawanna County Young Lawyers Division Board for over six years, working his way through the elected fields and ultimately serving as the President of the Young Lawyers Division in 2013. Additionally, Chip currently serves as a board member of the Friends of the Poor in Scranton and also the Bread Basket in Scranton..
