August ("Gus") is a Rhode Island native who is currently admitted to practice law in the state of Rhode Island. In May 2017, Mr. Bigos graduated with honors from the Roger Williams University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bigos graduated summa cum laude from Salve Regina University in 2014, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice.. Throughout his three years in law school, Mr. Bigos strived to become an exceptional student. After completing his first year of law school, Mr. Bigos was invited to become a member of the Roger Williams University School of Law Honors Program based on demonstrating exemplary ability and achievement in his first year. As a member of the Honors Program, Mr. Bigos had the unique opportunity to take three perspective courses focused on furthering and applying his legal knowledge and preparing him for practice.. In addition, Mr. Bigos was accepted into the Roger Williams University School of Law Immigration Clinic during his final semester. As a Student Attorney in the Immigration Clinic, Mr. Bigos represented indigent immigrants who were seeking lawful permanent residence in the United States or seeking to defend against removal proceedings.. Finally, while attending law school, Mr. Bigos trained and became a certified volunteer tax preparer through the IRS and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. He used that training to complete over fifty pro bono experiential learning hours helping elderly and low income individuals in his community to prepare their taxes.
