The Law Offices of Carter Martling, PC is centrally located in beautiful downtown Irmo, South Carolina where we stand ready to serve clients throughout the State. After spending years practicing in the fields of workers’ compensation and personal injury defense, I decided to dedicate my knowledge and experience towards assisting people injured on the job and on the roads. I’ve worked for insurance companies and their adjusters, I've spent countless hours in meetings and strategy sessions dedicated to defending injury claims. I know what you're in for when you get hurt on the job or in an automobile accident. The insurance company is prepared and ready for a fight, you should be too.. My clients can expect responsive, personalized attention to their situations and the peace of mind that comes with having an attorney knows who they are and understands what they are going through. I strive to allow my clients the best opportunity possible to manage their home lives while putting them at ease knowing an experienced and caring professional is looking out for them.. If you've been injured at work or in an auto accident, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your case. I am happy to provide a free and personalized case evaluation to help you move forward and decide how to best fight for your rights and pursue all that may be available to you under law.. I am a sport and community junky. Growing up, I was involved in sports, church, clubs, and every extracurricular activity that was available to me. I thought I had a normal life, until I realized that I was going to become a child of divorced parents. I knew it would be a pivotal moment that would shape my future – and if you don’t believe me, I can refer you to a childhood journal entry that describes it in much more detail! While I did not understand the legal system or the ins and out of divorce, I knew I was different than most of my friends because I was a child of divorce. It was in those early years that I realized I wanted to make a difference long-term for other families and children facing separation and divorce. I knew that I could guide them as they discovered what their new “normal” would look like.. Giving back to people and being empathetic is who I am. The older I became, the more I was drawn to studying legal issues and developed an interest and love in the vast variety of what the law could teach us, how it could shape us, and how it influences our every day. While in high school, I received a recommendation for a position that had become available with a local law office. I walked into that office for an interview as a junior in high school, accepted a part-time position, and never looked back.. After ten years of being paralegal, working during the day and attending college at night, I knew I could do more. I applied for law school and was accepted. I attended law school part-time and continued my work as a paralegal. In my final year, I transferred to a full-time law student and graduated. I am now licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina. I spend my days helping families navigate the ins and outs of divorce the same way an attorney helped my family and me all those years ago. Additionally, finding myself in the middle of divorce as a wife, mother, and attorney has added another layer of experience and challenge to the list of categories that enhance my ability to bring a unique perspective to family law cases, empathize with my clients, and understand the many emotions that family law cases bring.. I am a licensed Family Law Mediator in North Carolina and a Family Court Guardian Ad Litem in York County, South Carolina. While my focus has primarily been in the practice area of family law both as an attorney and as a Guardian Ad Litem, I also have experience in criminal law and traffic law, as well as estate planning and estate administration.. I love family law and helping those that find their definition of "family" is changing.

Any results the lawyer or the law firm may have achieved on behalf of clients in other matters does not necessarily indicate results can be obtained for other clients.. Immediately after passing the South Carolina Bar, Attorney Caroline Temple began working at George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers in the Veterans Disability Law subdivision. Her passion for people, especially for veterans, has allowed for her to represent clients to ensure that they receive the disability payments they deserve. She understands that in today’s society, veterans are often over-looked. For this reason, she works hard to make sure each of her veteran clients is comfortable and confident through the entire case process.. Before beginning her career in law, Temple attended Louisiana State University where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, minoring in Italian. During this time, she was a part of Delta Delta Delta Sorority which allowed for her to be a major part of charity events, such as ones that benefitted the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and Habitat for Humanity. Temple remained at LSU while she completed her Juris Doctorate, which she graduated cum laude. During law school, she spent a summer studying personal injury and insurance defense firms in Lyon, France. After her law school completion, Temple became licensed in Louisiana and practiced corporate and insurance defense litigation in New Orleans.
