An accomplished runner, Mastroianni won eight New York state championships in high school and was part of the Stanford University team that took 3rd place at the NCAA Cross-Country Championships. Since graduating from college, she has competed in seven marathons, including the Boston and New York City marathons. In Nashville, she finished as the 3rd female in the 2010 Country Music Marathon and won the inaugural Nashville Women’s Half Marathon..
