The first question many people ask is what does the name of the firm mean and it is the perfect segue into allowing me to explain what the Vision, the Values and the Mission of the firm is.. The word Amicus is of latin origin and is a noun defined as an impartial adviser, often voluntary, to a court of law in a particular case. The word Amicus is synonymous with what sets our attorneys apart and truly defines the weight we place in our relationship with our clients. We are here to serve as friends, allies, loyal and trusted advisors during what is often a difficult time for our clients, their families or their business. The definition embodies the Vision, the Values and the Mission that this firm was founded upon and that each of our attorneys operate under.. Our Visionimpartial adviser. Before we can successfully and prudently represent our client’s interests, we must first assess their concerns with impartiality. Knowledge is power and that is what we are able to provide to our clients because their trust in us is of the utmost importance. As friends, allies, loyal and trusted advisors we are here to inform, prepare and advocate for you. We are not afraid to litigate when necessary, but we intend to first rely on our communication skills and creativity to respectfully resolve matters with minimal friction, time expended and expense for all involved.. Our Valuesoften voluntary. “To whom much is given, much is expected” has and will always remain a core value for our attorneys. As a boutique firm we are able to practice with passion and purpose. The same integrity, excellence, service and teamwork that has earned us our clients respect and appreciation is the same values that drive our desire to educate and to give back to our community.Click Here to learn more about our passion for giving back to our community and join us in future community events, outreach and support.. Our Missionto a Court of Law. Our profession is rooted in the privilege of advocating for others with intent, principle and honesty before a tribunal. Our attorneys are determined to provide cost efficient and effective representation to our clients. The goal is that we provide them with peace and clarity through our diligent efforts which in turn should restore their confidence in the judicial process and the integrity of our profession. We will not stand down when it is deemed necessary to go that extra mile for our clients. Our firm has a Special Counsel specifically selected for experience in the Appellate Court practice. Our Special Counsel is here to ensure each client's case receives the priority it deserves.
