I was born into a thinking, working class family. My father, a great trial lawyer, is the smartest man I have ever known. My grandfather was the kindest man to ever walk the planet. He is a 30YR General Motors Union Man who never called in sick a day in his life. I thank them bought for teaching me to understand hard work.. I attended University of Texas and graduated Cum Laude in 2000. I stayed at the university and received a masters in early American studies. I went on to SMU law school and have been practicing since 2004. In my career I am proudest of three things. First, that while always practicing in family and criminal law I have never had a single bar complaint of any kind. I attribute this to always being available to clients and prepared at all times. Second, I went three years from 2010-2013 without a single adverse decision in a family law matter. That included two male custody jury trials and over twenty (20) live hearings on custody or support. Finally, while practicing on over fifty (50) courts and twenty (20) counties I have never been sanctioned or contempted on a single issue. I believe respect for courts and their personnel adds directly to my ability to help clients. In my entire career I have never been one minute late for any court appearance. Because of hard work and trial experience I am always able to help the people of central Texas. Being an honest lawyer matters.. My grandmother taught me to read early and I will forever be grateful to her for my love of language and words. To this day, I am a heavy reader and enjoy history and politics. While I love a good book and playing online games on my xbox1, I find it hard to stay indoors. I am an avid bass fisherman and a part time drag racer, many times winning Angler of the Year and qualifying number 1 in a true 10.5 drag race. I think life experience creates a sepcial ability to help others in real life situations.. Of all my accomplishments, the one of which I'm proudest happened in 2005 when Alicia Fanning became my wife. She is my best friend and a source of strength and inspiration.

David Frank is based in Austin, Texas and has a reputation for being a tough and experienced criminal trial lawyer. In April of 2014 he successfully challenged the Texas Mandatory DWI Blood Draw Statute. The Court of Appeals reversed the trial courts in his two cases and found that the Mandatory Blood Draw Statute runs afoul of the Fourth Amendment warrant requirement. In November 2014 he helped lead a State-Wide effort against a State Office of Administrative Hearings rule change that would have significantly hampered the right to subpoena witnesses for ALR Hearings. David Frank has been an attorney since 1992. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Frank has devoted his practice to representing individuals accused of crimes. His practice includes defending against all felony and misdemeanor charges. He aggressively represents clients who live throughout the state of Texas as well as clients living abroad. He is a Past President of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and regularly speaks at criminal law seminars. He uses the latest electronic legal research tools to find cases that help his clients get results. His many years of practice in the Austin and Travis County have given him a particular insight in dealing with the courts. Avoiding frivolous charges and unfair penalties is the primary goal. Mr. Frank explores alternatives to incarceration as he works to resolve his cases. He works with the prosecutors and the judges every day -- and that is essential to being effective in the courtroom.

I have been practicing law since 1992. My emphasis has been on representing entrepreneurial businesses. While in high school, I started a concert promotion business where I bought concert tickets, rented buses and sold "packages" to students to see top flight acts like Elton John, Yes, Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, etc. I also bought end of season close outs of name brand clothes and sold the clothes at local flea markets, including Sassoon and Jordache brands. Later I moved to Texas and collaborated with an equipment finance company to lease vehicles to businesses. Until I went to law school, I typically had at least two jobs at a time and sometimes a small business as well. After law school I finished an MBA. I have been appointed receiver over more than five hundred businesses by courts all over Texas. The businesses range from dental offices to tanning salons. From software developers to ranching operations. These court assignments have given me an understanding of certain commonalities to all businesses, as well as a wide range of practical experiences. My client base is even broader than the range of businesses I have been involved in. I try to deliver excellent results for my client at reasonable prices. My goal is to establish long term relationships with clients so I can understand their needs and their inclinations as best as I can. Knowing my clients well allows me to deliver individually tailored services instead of one size fits all. In addition to helping with business transactions, my staff and I have handled hundreds of litigation cases in the courts of the state of Texas. If you or your business need help, don't hesitate to call me.
