The area of law these legal services encompass is called probate. Probate law seeks to answer questions relating to a person's death or incapacity. Probate law deals with both estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.) and what to do in case someone dies or becomes incapacitated without an estate plan in place (guardianship, conservatorship, opening and closing the probate estate, etc.). I've been working in the probate arena for seven years and practice all forms of estate planning and probate litigation..
