Sam grew up in a small town outside Kansas City, Kansas. Coming from a family of teachers, journalists, and marines, Sam was raised with a passion for learning and adventure. Sam attended the University of Kansas and studied political science, history, and economics. Before graduating, Sam was named a Global Scholar and afforded the opportunity to conduct a two-year interdisciplinary research project on culture & politics in the United Kingdom.
