Born and rised in Montana, I attended Whitman College, a small liberal arts college in Eastern Washington, and then attended law school at Cornell University in up-state New York.. I have lived and traveled extensively in the United States as well as abroad.  I lived in Europe for a year and have also traveled throughout Asia and South America.. An experienced mountaineer, I have climed extensively in the Rocky Mountains (both Canadian and U.S.) as well as in the Andes and Himalay, successfully summiting the sixth highest Mountain in the World (Cho Oyu at 27,000')..
