Sean Nicholson

Firm: Pacific Defender Law Group
1220 Main Street, Suite 400 , Vancouver , Washington 98660
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
Pacific Defender Law Group is a law firm with vast expertise and experience in defense of all criminal charges. We are familiar and experienced with the criminal justice system, the judges, and the prosecutors throughout the Vancouver and Spokane Washington area. Mr. Sean A. Nicholson is in court every day and have developed excellent working relationships with the judges, court clerks, and prosecutors. We strive to provide our clients with the benefits of our experience, to offer exceptional and personal representation to the clients of Pacific Defender Law Group.. Unlike many Law Firms, we do not contract our cases to outside attorneys or law firms, we handle the cases personally, and do not have inexperienced associates appearing in court. When you trust Pacific Defender Law Group to handle your criminal matter, it is handled in house and personally by Sean A. Nicholson, Esq. and Leslie S. Nicholson, Esq.. Our attorneys have well over fifty years aggregate experience practicing law. We use a team approach on all cases so that multiple attorneys review and have input on all cases. It is important that a team approach be used when dealing with the defense of criminal offenses so that “no stone goes unturned” and you, as the client, receive the benefit of multiple and thorough reviews of your case by experienced attorneys. Our experience has been that most prosecutors are overzealous and regularly overcharge individuals with crimes that are not based on the facts of the case. Do not serve unnecessary jail time, prison time, or pay unnecessary fines because you are not adequately represented. An experienced law firm can and does make a substantial difference.. It is imperative in almost all crimes (especially in DUI and domestic violence cases) that you obtain representation as soon as possible. Give our office a call so we can start working for you immediately; all initial consultations are free. We have experience and will appear in court for you anywhere in or around Vancouver, Washington.

Staci Gossett

3400 Harbor Avenue SW, Ste 223 , Seattle , Washington 98126
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
I have been practicing Criminal Defense in the Puget Sound area for nine years, and if you have been arrested for and/or charged with a crime you need to immediately do two things: (1) remain silent and (2) get an attorney.. You need to remain silent because anything you say can be used against you, and it will. The police officers, in this situation, are not your friends no matter how nice/professional they are. Innocent or guilty, trying to talk your way out of it will only backfire.. You need an attorney because there are practical consequences to criminal charges and convictions such as the loss of your freedom (jail time), loss of your driver's license, deportation, etc. An attorney can explain all of the consequences of the charge(s), and even if you end up entering a plea, more likely than not, can negotiate a far better agreement than you could on your own.. That’s because an attorney knows what the Court’s policies are regarding the crime you are charged with (a typical sentence given the crime) and what factors. can be used to negotiate the best agreement (criminal history or lack thereof, specifics of your case, credibility of the alleged victim(s), etc.).. If you qualify for a public defender, great!  Take advantage of their services!  If you do not qualify for a public defender, call me!  Aside from the reasons above, you will find I am knowledgeable, compassionate, responsive (I return calls and answer questions ASAP), and  my rates are RIDICULOUSLY LOW.  Why do I offer such low rates? The reason is simple: everyone deserves a fair shot.. Staci R. Gossett, Attorney at Law

I I have devoted my legal career to defending individuals accused of crimes and have represented over one thousand people in district and superior court. I have significant experience defending DUIs and other criminal traffic violations, domestic violence, serious crimes and misdemeanor charges.. I founded Pewitt Law Group, PLLC., after working as a Snohomish County Public Defender for several years. During my tenure as a public defender, I handled cases through all phases of the criminal process, from arraignments through motions and trials. I have earned a reputation as a strong courtroom presence who vigorously advocates for my clients using my significant court room experience and specialized legal training. A small sampling of my specialized training includes:. ·         Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College – Death Penalty Seminar. ·         NCDD Winter Session Defending DUI. ·         NCDD Mastering Scientific Evidence in DWI Case. ·         WA Foundation for Criminal Justice: Defending the Marijuana DUI. ·         WA Foundation for Criminal Justice: Defending DUIs in Washington State. ·         Certified in SFST Administration per NHTSA standards – Robert La Pier & Associates. ·         King County Inter-local Conflict Resolution Group – 40 hour mediation training. I developed my passion for criminal defense and decided to attend law school after serving as a juror in King County Superior Court Judge McDermott’s court room. During law school, I worked as a Legal Extern for Judge McDermott, a Rule 9 Attorney for Snohomish County Public Defender Association and as a Law Clerk in the Sexually Violent Predator Unit at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office.. I graduated magna cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law and represented Seattle University as a member of its National Moot Court Team. I also represented Seattle University School of Law at regional negotiation and client counseling competitions after finishing first in both university level competitions. I served as a member of Seattle University’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, creating opportunities for students to increase awareness and use of alternative dispute resolution. I received my B.A. from Washington State University and earned my M.B.A. from the University of Washington. Prior to attending law school, I worked in business, cross cultural training and international marketing.. I am a member of the National College for DUI Defense, Washington State Bar Association and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Shawn Mccully

1275 12th AVE NW, Suite 5 , Issaquah , Washington 98027
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
I'm a 39 year old father of one living in the Bellevue area.  I married my college sweetheart and she stuck with me through law school.  When not in the courtroom, I enjoy the outdoors, often fishing and photographing nature.  I'm usually in the courtroom or on the side of a mountain somewhere. Check out some of my photography at. I vary my practice between criminal defense and personal injury, believing that they mutually benefit each other.  One of my passions is trial work and being in a courtroom.  This is one of the reasons I love criminal defense work as it keeps me in the courtroom and out of an office.  Court and trial experience makes me a better personal injury lawyer.  I have found that many civil lawyers are "scared" of the courtroom and often you can get a better outcome on your civil case by pushing it toward a courtroom.. i have worked as a private and public defense attorney during my career.  While I started my career and love representing private clients, public defense has been a very satisfying part of my career.  Helping those that are indigent and giving them a lawyer experience they would normally have to pay thousands of dollars for is particularly rewarding.  I'm a firm believer that some of the best lawyers I know are public defense lawyers.  You are able to gain valuable trial experience making you an effective advocate for private clients.. I have handled nearly every type of criminal charge out there from Attempted Murder, sex crimes, Vehicular Homicide/Assault, VUCSA, Domestic Violence, DUI/Physical Control, and misdemeanor law.  I have extensive experience in the court helping me wade my clients through the system in the most beneficial way for them.. I started my career in personal injury and have maintained a case load during my career.  I find it challenging work helping those that have been injured at the hand of another in a negligent manner.  My court experience gives me a leg up on the competition when it comes to personal injury.  Often, taking a case to the steps of the courthouse gets my clients the best results and covers the true cost of their injuries and loss.. If you are in the need, please contact me about your case.  if you trust me to advocate on your behalf, I'll promise to do the best I can to protect you and your interests.  Thanks!

My undergraduate education at the University of Washington started with a concentration in South Asian Area Studies but I finished with a B.S. in Cell/Molecular Biology. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree I entered a PhD program at the University of New Mexico with an emphasis on evolution and adaptive physiology. I completed my PhD in 1986. Along the way I taught at undergraduate and graduate levels. My research has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals.. Upon returning to Seattle, I entered the University of Washington Law School, earning my J.D. in 1989. While a law student I worked representing low-income individuals in a law clinic and also taught an ecology/natural history class in the UW's Zoology program. In 1989 I joined the Defender Association as a staff attorney. In my years at the Defender Association I represented indigent clients on cases ranging from suspended driver's licenses to homicide.. I now work out of my home as a sole practitioner. My low overhead allows me to make a living while keeping my fees within reach of the average person.. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I lived in Thailand for two years and have traveled in Japan, India, and Maylaysia. Teaching in New Mexico, I had students from the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni tribes. These experiences educated me on the significance of understanding culture and language when working with others. I am LGBT and kink friendly.

I am a trial lawyer practicing criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation representing clients throughout Washington. I am relentless in my pursuit of justice and winning every case I take on. Whether that be a 34 hour straight "day" in trial and preparation, being available 24/7/365, or running your case through my mind non stop until we succeed. I love being in courtrooms and trials, and I am competitive and driven to a fault, which I use to my clients' advantage.
