Nathan Cliber

Firm: Seattle Divorce Services
2317 NW Market St , Seattle , Washington 98107
Practice Areas: Divorce & Separation
As a family law attorney, much of my work is with people going through a divorce, or otherwise seeking help with ending a relationship.  I try to assist my divorce clients with an eye towards sustainability and long-term wellbeing.  In other words: I want to help you figure out not only how to bring one chapter of your life to a close, but how to begin the next one.. In addition to my divorce practice, I am interested in working with individuals and families in the early stages of relationships.  There is a lot of space for creative and intentional work in constructing and defining family structures going in.  Everyone’s family is different, and I am a big believer in broad and inclusive interpretations of what family means.  Many of us identify strongly with the notion of investing in a family of choice, and I want to support that in any way I can.. Regardless of why you come to see me, I will listen without judgment to where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and how you’d like things to go.   I will be honest with you about what I think is possible, what I think is likely, and what I think is wise.  I will strive to understand your needs.  Most importantly, I will do my utmost to work with you and think creatively about how we can move you from wherever you are now to wherever you want to be.

We offer effective, professional, and personal representation to our clients and place our clients as our highest priority. Without you we would not be able to practice law.

I chose to move to Washington to be near family for my two children, the loves of my life.. I have practiced almost exclusively in family law and family-related matters since I was admitted to practice, and since joining MSO Law in May of 2011, I have expanded my practice to include estate planning and probate.. I am admitted to practice in US Federal Court, US Bankruptcy Court, and all Washington state courts. I also became a certified Guardian ad Litem in 2015 to facilitate my ability and desire to help families (especially children) in crisis.

Dedicated. Prepared. Accessible. Compassionate.. I believe there is a solution to every problem and that people should not be defined by their worst moments. Humans are resilient and with the right advocacy, anything can be accomplished. Working with me and my team you will know you got the best result possible and will never be in the dark about the status of your case. Our practice is results oriented and focused on client communication. We provide non-judgmental and efficient representation with an emphasis on achieving client goals. My practice focuses on complex family law including cases involving tech workers, professionals, business owners, and those with closely held businesses. I also spend signficant time working with clients in cases involving domestic violence and on prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements. As a former criminal trial lawyer, my experience representing clients in both criminal and family law gives me a unique perspective that is advantageous when there are charges pending, protection orders in place or being sought, and/or a family law case happening simultaneously. I understand how to best protect your interests in all of these arenas. My team will work with you to make sure you know what decisions to make at every juncture to achieve the best possible outcome for you, your family, and your future. Whether you are negotiatinga resolution, in mediation, or litigating, family law is stressful. I aim to act as a buffer between you and that stress. Listen, court can be stressful for clients. I make sure all of my clients know what to expect and if we are litigating, go in to court prepared and with the security of experience on their side. Careful and well-informed negotiation is critical to securing successful resolutions. We offer the flexibility of experience to litigate aggressively on your behalf when needed or reach solutions borne of a more collaborative approach, dependent upon your needs. If you have a problem, we can help you find your solution so please reach out.. Prior to starting Dellino Law Group, I worked for a large public defender office and other law firms in the greater Seattle area gaining extensive experience defending criminal charges and handling family law matters. Prior to private practice, I srved as a judicial staff attorney in Washington State Superior Court for Kitsap County. As an attorney providing support to four busy trial court judges, I analyzed legal motions in all areas of law, especially in cases involving complex issues, and recommended how a judge should rule on the motion. My work at the Court helped me understand how judges respond to arguments made by attorneys. This makes me an extremely effective advocate in the courtroom. When not working, I stay active in the community through my volunteer work with the King Co. Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinic program and various animal rescues. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, my four dogs (yes, I said four), getting outdoors, travel, and New York Yankee baseball. I abhor apathy.

Michael Fancher

Firm: Seattle Divorce Services

I see my job as a lawyer as helping people find solutions to their problems. This means spending time listening to my clients to find out what their goals, fears, and hopes are, and then working with them to try and find out how we can best achieve their objectives.. My practice is focused on working with clients who are seeking to resolve their issues outside of court. For me, Collaborative Law is a way to help people end their marriage in a reasonable and adult way that will allow them to look back on their divorce as a time of positive growth. Collaborative principles allow this to happen in a safe and respectful environment.. One benefit of resolving things outside of court is preservation of existing relationships. A therapist I know put it very well when she said that in a divorce, we end the relationship of husband/wife, but the relationships of mother/father/children continue. It is those relationships of father/mother/children that need to be protected to the extent possible even when the family is no longer going to be living together in a single home.. A second benefit is self-determination. A resolution that the parties create for themselves with professional assistance, and that they therefore truly believe in, will be far more durable, far more satisfying, and far more tailored to their specific concerns and circumstances than a resolution imposed by a court, or even a resolution negotiated between two attorneys.

Michael De Maar

9 Lake Bellevue Dr Ste 103 , Bellevue , Washington 98005
Practice Areas: Divorce & Separation
I have worked my entire career in the Law. I was employed as a legal intern through my undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University. In this position, I worked for a large Baltimore, Maryland Law Firm in their Landlord Tenant and Collections division representing large landlord conglomerates and the largest bail bond company in the State of Maryland. I continued in this position until I was accepted to Law School where I received a Presidential Law Scholarship at Seattle University. Since entering Law School, I have been in and around the area of Family Law for several years. I began practicing in this area as a Rule 9 Intern with the Law Offices of Natalie de Maar. The Rule 9 Intern position provided me with a limited license to represent clients. After graduating Law School, I became an associate with Mrs. De Maar’s firm.. I strongly believe that you should understand why a lawyer concentrates their practice heavily on family law. I have done so primarily for two reasons. The first is a family law client is a uniquely vulnerable client. A family law client often finds himself or herself facing an unknown future. It can be emotional, frustrating, and exasperating. My goal is to assist my clients through this difficult time, and to help set a course forward toward financial and emotional stability. In other words, my goal is to help provide my clients and their children, a path forward. My second draw to family law is that I truly enjoy working with everyday people. As a result, I find that working with family law clients to be extremely rewarding and to be a fascinating area of the law.. I look forward to serving your Family Law needs.

Choosing an attorney is little different than choosing a doctor, accountant, mechanic, or any other professional that can turn out to be a blessing or a burden. Try to take time to interview a couple different attorneys before making a decision. Ask people you know, read advertisements, and use whatever information you can get. In the end it will be how well you communicate with the attorney that will make a huge difference. It is also important that the person you choose is capable to achieve your goals - you may not know if your attorney can do this until it is too late. Unfortunately, none of the statistics on this website (length of time in practice, publications, solicited testimonials, etc) can really determine competency of your attorney. Once hired, keep analyzing your attorney and change attorneys if needed, don’t wait until it is too late.
