Practice Areas: Estate Planning
My father, Lane J. Wolfley, opened his law practice in 1979. My brother, Joseph, joined him in 2011. I, Kenneth Wolfley, am pleased to announce that I will be joining them in the family law firm. My practice will focus on the areas of Federal, State, and Local Tax Law, Estate Planning, and Business Law.. Before law school, I was a construction management professional. I was a key member of a team charged with assuring that projects finish on time and on budget. I assured that construction accurately reflected the design and specifications.. After working in the construction industry, I decided to attend Willamette University College of Law so I could put my construction and legal skills to work as an advisor for construction companies. The time I have spent earning my Juris Doctorate, Certificate of Business Law, and LLM in Taxation confirms this desire, but I want to do more to assist businesses in my community.. As a tax attorney, I provide tax-planning support, helping individuals and organizations make financial decisions with an eye on the possible tax benefits or penalties that those moves would create in the future. I offer more specialization in the legal questions of tax planning. Tax planning encompasses such areas as trusts, estate planning, investments, business and personal expenses, payroll, business structure and self-employment.. I can prove useful to a person or entity that needs to defend itself on a tax-related issue. Whether a client is bringing a case against or are be audited by the IRS or Wash. Dept. of Rev., I can handle the legal tax challenges. Some common reasons for the IRS to audit are: failure to report income, under reporting income, failure to file return, and failure to pay tax due.. I do not recommend facing either the IRS or Wash. Dept. of Rev. alone. Audits start usually with a narrow focus, but the wrong thing said or too much information provided can lead authorities to expand their search. I can help.

Firm: The Harbor Law Group
Practice Areas: Estate Planning
Kira is the principal and owner of The Harbor Law Group (formerly, Law Office of Kira M. Rubel). She attended the University of San Diego for both her undergraduate and law school degrees. A native Washingtonian, she returned to Washington in 2016 to continue practicing law and is now licensed, and practicing, in Washington and California.. Kira has a wide breadth of legal experience. Although her career began in securities fraud class actions, her path has led her to consumer class actions, commercial litigation, employment matters and counseling, and to business legal support and estate planning. During her litigation career, she recovered tens of millions of dollars for aggrieved consumers and employees, while her transactional business has supported countless local businesses as they have navigated the difficult task of creating and maintaining a small business. Kira has significant experience in business formation, contract negotiation, employment issues, and business strategy, including business sales or acquisitions.. In 2016, Kira forayed into estate planning when she realized (at an alarming moment, while on vacation with her husband and away from their child) that they had no plan in place for their daughter if the worst were to happen.Disenchanted with the way she had seen other estate plans work (or fail to work) for family, friends, and clients in the past, Kira committed herself to finding a better way to prepare for these major life events. Kira’s method of estate planning takes into account nuances that many others don’t consider, such as the emotional and personal wishes of each client, as well as robust asset and estate tax protection.. Kira is incredibly passionate about the work that she does and looks forward to helping you as a consumer, employee, family in search of estate planning (and planning for your minor children), or a small business owner.

My current community service activity is raising a guide dog puppy for the blind. Our last dog two dogs we raised are now guides to people in California. Each dog is trained in basic obedience and social manners and sometimes will join client meetings. After approximately a year the puppy continues his training at the Guide Dog campus in Boring, Oregon.. I also as an volunteer attorney for Lawyers Fostering Independence - assisting youth who have aged out of foster care and need legal advise.. Other interests of mine include, gardening, cooking (fried chicken is a specialty as a result of my mother's southern influence), attending Seattle Storm basketball games and travel when time allows. One of the most interesting places that I lived is Morocco - I spent time in a small town outside Rabat named Mehdiya Plage. I also lived Paris and I highly recommend the Dali Musuem as an off the beaten path Museum.
