John Coffey of the United States District Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  While attending Carthage, he interned in the Washington, D.C. offices of United States Congressmen Gerald Kleczka and Jim Moody.. Rod is married to his best friend from law school, Eileen Miller Carter, who currently serves in the Wauwatosa City Attorney's Office.  He and Eileen have three children--two sons and a daughter.  Their family life is busy with activities related to the children.  Time allowing, the Carter family enjoys traveling and entertaining friends and family.  They are also avid Marquette fans.
