Venue.
Official statutory text
(a) The venue for a petition under AS 13.12.530 is (1) the judicial district of this state where the testator is domiciled; or
(2) if the person who executed the will is not domiciled in this state, any judicial district of this state.
(b) The venue for a petition under AS 13.12.535 is the judicial district where the trust is registered. The venue for proceedings involving a trust that is not registered in this state is (1) any place in this state where the trust could have been properly registered; or
(2) the location established by the rules of court.
(2) if the person who executed the will is not domiciled in this state, any judicial district of this state.
(b) The venue for a petition under AS 13.12.535 is the judicial district where the trust is registered. The venue for proceedings involving a trust that is not registered in this state is (1) any place in this state where the trust could have been properly registered; or
(2) the location established by the rules of court.
