Official statutory text

As an alternative to publication by newspaper pursuant to Section 5363, publication of formal notice may be effected pursuant to this section. Not later than 90 days prior to the date of any school district or community college district election, except a bond measure election, the county superintendent of schools having jurisdiction shall cause to be posted the formal notice of the election in public view at all of the following:

(a) Every schoolhouse in the territory, district or districts in which the election is to be held.

(b) At three public places in the territory, district or districts.
