Official statutory text

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Department of Housing and Community Development, the County of Los Angeles, the City of Inglewood, the City of Hawthorne, and the City of El Segundo, may enter into a joint powers agreement, pursuant to Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 6500) of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code, for the purposes of providing a short-term solution to the problem of providing housing for military personnel stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
