Official statutory text
The department shall permit the United States, if it agrees to accomplish all or part of the work, to use the necessary real property, or any interest therein, for the work to be performed pursuant to this article. The department may hold and save the federal government free from damages for all time due to the construction, operation, and maintenance of the seawall, including access ways, safety railing, utilities, repaving, and restroom, and may provide directly or by agreement with the City of Pismo Beach items of local cooperation as may be required for federal participation in this project. Items of local cooperation provided by the department shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Finance.
