Official statutory text
Verification deputies required to verify signatures to petitions for the formation of a district, or to certificates or petitions nominating candidates for election to the first board of directors of newly formed districts, shall be appointed by the county elections official of any county in which the territory of the district is situated, and verification deputies required for any other purpose after the formation of a district shall be appointed by the clerk of the district.
