Official statutory text

The commission shall pursue all available legal remedies to redraw intrastate inter-exchange, also known as local access and transport area, or LATA, boundaries for the purpose of eliminating restrictions that result in discriminatory costs, added inconvenience, and less service for consumers of telecommunications services solely in and between the Counties of Monterey and Santa Cruz.
