Official statutory text

(a) If the applicant is determined to be eligible, aid shall be granted from the date of application if the applicant meets all eligibility conditions on that date, or from the date on which the applicant meets all eligibility conditions, whichever is later. In any event, the beginning date of aid shall comply with federal requirements for aid programs covered under this section whether or not federal financial participation in the aid payment is available.

(b) This section shall include, but not be limited to, payments made under the Aid to Families with Dependent Children-Foster Care program.
