Official statutory text
Subject to the provisions of Title 9, Subtitle 5 of the Correctional Services Article:
(1) The Administration may employ incarcerated individuals, from correctional facilities in the Division of Correction, to perform reconstruction and maintenance work on any highway; and
(2) On request of the Administration, the Division of Correction shall provide the Administration with incarcerated individuals who, in the sole judgment of the Division of Correction, can be utilized safely for this work with appropriate security.
