Sec. 205.

As used in this section:

"Form" means an application, questionnaire, permit, order, schedule, record, report, or document in regular and continuing use that is used to obtain information, response, compliance, or application that is required from the public or private sector by this state.

"Forms management program" means a total system intended to improve the efficiency of state government through forms including, but not limited to, survey, analysis, design, specification, printing, buying, inventory storage, use, and distribution of forms.

The department shall issue directives for the implementation and maintenance of a forms management program within each state agency. The department shall coordinate the development of forms at state agencies in order to facilitate the standardization of forms, recommend the elimination of redundant forms, and provide a central source of information regarding forms usage in state government.
