9.148. Infant and maternal mortality awareness month designated for the month of September. — The month of September every year shall be designated as "Infant and Maternal Mortality Awareness Month". Citizens of this state and health care professionals are encouraged to promote and engage in appropriate activities that educate the public about the importance of appropriate health care for women and their new babies, from pregnancy through the vulnerable first post-partum year.
