Authorized use of money received from State

1. Except as otherwise provided in this section, each juvenile court shall use the money distributed by the Department of Health and Human Services pursuant to the provisions of NRS 62G.400 to 62G.470 , inclusive, to: (a) Carry out the purposes of NRS 62G.400 to 62G.470 , inclusive; (b) Employ necessary probation officers who shall carry caseloads substantially less than required for normal or routine supervision; and (c) Initiate new techniques and services of an innovative nature for delinquent children.
2. Any money which is distributed to a juvenile court pursuant to the provisions of NRS 62G.400 to 62G.470 , inclusive, for any fiscal year beginning on or after July 1, 1991, and which represents an increase over the amount distributed to the juvenile court pursuant to the provisions of NRS 62G.400 to 62G.470 , inclusive, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1991: (a) Must not be used to offset the salaries of governmental employees. (b) May be used only for the purchase of goods, property or services necessary to carry out the purposes of NRS 62G.400 to 62G.470 , inclusive.
