Responsibilities of county that carries out provisions relating to parole; appointment of person to act in place of Chief of Youth Parole Bureau

Official statutory text

1. A county that receives approval to carry out the provisions of NRS 63.700 to 63.780 , inclusive, and an exemption from the assessment imposed pursuant to NRS 62B.165 shall: (a) Carry out the provisions of NRS 63.700 to 63.780 , inclusive; and (b) Appoint a person to act in the place of the Chief of the Youth Parole Bureau in carrying out those provisions.

2. When a person is appointed by the county to act in the place of the Chief of the Youth Parole Bureau pursuant to subsection 1, the person so appointed shall be deemed to be the Chief of the Youth Parole Bureau for the purposes of NRS 63.700 to 63.780 , inclusive.
