§ 1306. Abandoned property resulting from the administration of the\nvehicle and traffic law. Any abandoned property resulting from the\nadministration of the vehicle and traffic law in the hands of the\ncommissioner of motor vehicles or the commissioner of taxation and\nfinance on the first day of January in any year shall be paid to the\nstate comptroller not later than the first day of July following. Such\npayment shall be accompanied by a written report setting forth such\nidentifying information as the state comptroller may require.\n
