§ 130. Labeling. 1. A commercial feed, except a customer-formula feed,\nshall be accompanied by a label bearing the following information:\n (a) The net weight.\n (b) The product name and the brand name, if any, under which the\ncommercial feed is distributed.\n (c) The guaranteed analysis stated in such terms as the commissioner\nby regulation determines is required to advise the user of the\ncomposition of the feed or to support claims made in the labeling. In\nall cases the substances or elements must be determinable by laboratory\nmethods such as the methods published by the Association of Official\nAnalytical Chemists.\n (d) The common or usual name of each ingredient used in the\nmanufacture of a commercial feed, provided, that the commissioner by\nregulation may permit the use of a collective term for a group of\ningredients which perform a similar function, or he may exempt such\ncommercial feeds, or any group thereof, from this requirement of an\ningredient statement if he finds that such statement is not required in\nthe interest of consumers.\n (e) The name and principal mailing address of the manufacturer or the\nperson responsible for distributing the commercial feed.\n (f) Adequate directions for use for all commercial feeds containing\ndrugs and for the use of such other feeds as the commissioner may\nrequire by regulation as necessary for their safe and effective use.\n (g) Such warning or caution statements as the commissioner by\nregulation determines are necessary for the safe and effective use of\nthe commercial feed.\n 2. A customer-formula feed shall be accompanied by a label, invoice,\ndelivery slip, or other shipping document, bearing the following\ninformation:\n (a) Name and address of the manufacturer.\n (b) Name and address of the purchaser.\n (c) Date of delivery.\n (d) The product name and brand name, if any, and the net weight of\neach registered commercial feed used in the mixture, and the net weight\nof each other ingredient used.\n (e) Adequate directions for use for all customer-formula feeds\ncontaining drugs and for such other customer-formula feeds as the\ncommissioner may require by regulation as necessary for their safe and\neffective use.\n (f) Such warning or caution statements as the commissioner by\nregulation determines are necessary for the safe and effective use of\nthe customer-formula feed.\n
