§ 260. Charters of all savings banks conformed to this article. The\npowers, privileges and duties, and all restrictions, heretofore or\nhereafter conferred or imposed upon any savings bank by whatever name\nknown, by its charter or act of incorporation, are hereby abridged,\nenlarged or modified, as each particular case may require, in such\nmanner that every such charter or act of incorporation shall be made to\nconform to the provisions of this article and to such amendments thereof\nas may be hereafter made. Every savings bank shall possess the powers,\nrights and privileges, and be subject to the duties, restrictions and\nliabilities, conferred and imposed by this article, notwithstanding\nanything to the contrary in their respective charters or acts of\nincorporation.\n
