§ 91. Tonnage statistics. The corporation shall collect and compile\naccurate records of the tonnage transported on the canals during each\nseason of navigation. Such data, together with all other necessary\ninformation relative to canal transportation shall be arranged in\nconvenient form and furnished to those interested. The corporation shall\npublish from time to time such data and information as, in its opinion,\nwill promote and encourage commerce on the canals.\n
