§ 27-1503. Applicability.\n It is the purpose of this title to regulate the transportation of\nregulated medical waste in a uniform manner throughout the state. All\nthe requirements of this title shall apply to any person or persons\nengaged in the storage, containment, treatment, disposal or transfer of\nregulated medical waste off the site of the facility producing such\nwaste. This title and the regulations promulgated pursuant hereto shall\nsupersede all other state and local laws relating to the transportation\nof regulated medical waste to the extent such laws are not consistent\nwith this title and such regulations.\n
