§ 27-1504. Regulated medical waste tracking program.\n 1. The commissioner shall promulgate new regulations or amend existing\nregulations establishing a program for the tracking of the regulated\nmedical waste which is generated in this state. Such regulations shall\nnot be subject to the requirements of subdivision 2 of section 3-0301 of\nthis chapter.\n 2. Such program shall:\n a. Provide for tracking of the transportation of the waste from the\ngenerator to the disposal facility, except that waste that is treated\nneed not be tracked after treatment;\n b. Include a system for providing the generator of the waste with\nassurance that the waste was treated or received by the disposal\nfacility; and\n c. Use a uniform form for tracking provided that different forms may\nbe required for generators of differing quantities of medical waste.\n
