* § 373-b. Standards for single-exit, single stairway multi-unit\nresidential buildings study. The council shall conduct a study relating\nto standards for egress including provisions for multi-unit residential\nbuildings above three stories, up to at least six stories. Such study\nshall consider examining existing building codes for single-exit, single\nstairway multi-unit residential buildings above three stories, up to at\nleast six stories in the city of New York and in other cities and\njurisdictions that have adopted provisions allowing for the construction\nof such buildings into their building codes. Such study shall be\ncompleted on or before July first, two thousand twenty-six. The council\nshall consider such study findings and amend the uniform code if\nnecessary.\n * NB Repealed January 1, 2029\n
