N.Y. FDC Law § 7-A

§ 7-a. Relationship with the state department of corrections and\ncommunity supervision. The corporation, upon the issuance by the\ndirector of the budget of a certificate of approval segregating funds to\npay for their corporate services, shall design, construct, reconstruct,\nrehabilitate, improve, and equip facilities for the department of\ncorrections and community supervision or cause facilities to be\ndesigned, constructed, reconstructed, rehabilitated, improved, and\nequipped. The corporation shall also assist and cooperate with and shall\nmake its personnel and services fully available to the commissioner of\ncorrections and community supervision and the department of corrections\nand community supervision in matters relating to their responsibilities\nfor site selection, acquisition of and capital planning relating to\nfacilities for the department of corrections and community supervision.\nDuring the course of construction, acquisition, reconstruction,\nrehabilitation and improvement of such facilities, the corporation shall\nconsult with the commissioner of corrections and community supervision\nand the personnel of the department of corrections and community\nsupervision as the work progresses in matters relating to space\nrequirements, site plans, architectural concept and substantial changes\nin the plans and specifications therefor and in matters relating to the\noriginal furnishings, equipment, machinery, and apparatus needed to\nfurnish and equip such facilities upon the completion of the work. The\ncommissioner of corrections and community supervision and the department\nof corrections and community supervision shall assist and cooperate with\nthe corporation in such matters.\n
