* § 923-a. County of Westchester industrial development agency. For\nthe benefit of the county of Westchester and the inhabitants thereof, an\nindustrial development agency, to be known as the COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER\nINDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, is hereby established for the\naccomplishment of any or all of the purposes specified in title one of\narticle eighteen-A of this chapter. It shall constitute a body corporate\nand politic, and be perpetual in duration. It shall have the powers and\nduties now or hereafter conferred by title one of article eighteen-A of\nthis chapter upon industrial development agencies and provided that the\nexercise of the powers by such agency with respect to the acquisition of\nreal property whether by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, shall be\nlimited to the corporate limits of the county of Westchester and such\nagency shall take into consideration the local zoning and planning\nregulations as well as regional and local land use plans. The agency\nshall not use its funds to commence any project unless (i) at least\nthirty days' prior notice of such project shall have been given to each\nlocal municipality in which a part or parts of the project is, or is to\nbe, located and (ii) no objection, by resolution of the governing body\nof such municipality, shall have been made and delivered to the agency\nwithin such thirty days. Notwithstanding the provisions of the next\npreceding sentence, in the case of a project which is, or is to be,\nlocated within a village within the county of Westchester, notice to\nsuch village shall be sufficient as to any part or parts of the project\nwithin the village and no other notice shall be required to be given to\nany other municipality in which such village is located with respect\nthereto. It shall be organized in a manner prescribed by and be subject\nto the provisions of title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter and\nshall consist of seven members. Its members shall be appointed by the\nchief executive officer of the county of Westchester, subject to\nconfirmation by its governing body. The agency, its members, officers\nand employees, and its operations and activities shall in all respects\nbe governed by the provisions of title one of article eighteen-A of this\nchapter.\n * NB Agency expires per §§ 856 and 882\n
