§ 836. Administration. Except as is otherwise provided herein, the\nadministration of the worker adjustment program shall be carried out by\nthe department in consultation with the department of economic\ndevelopment, state education department, state university of New York,\ncity university of New York, and the state job training coordinating\ncouncil, hereinafter referred to as the "council", in a manner\nconsistent with the federal Economic Dislocation and Worker Adjustment\nAssistance Act (P.L. 100-418), hereinafter referred to as "the act".\n
