N.Y. PAR Law § 13.09

§ 13.09 Solicitation restricted. No person engaged in the business of\ntransporting passengers for hire to or through any state park or\noffering guide or other services for a fee to visitors to any state park\nshall engage in any of the following practices:\n 1. The giving of false or misleading information concerning state\nparks or hotel, tourist home, cabin, or other tourist accommodations, or\ntheir rates, facilities or services.\n 2. The giving of false or misleading information concerning travel\nroutes or conditions of travel, bridges, bridge facilities or bridge\nrates, parking accommodations, business establishments of service or\ninterest to such visitors, including the facilities, services and rates\nof other sightseeing services.\n 3. The halting on the highways leading to state parks or on the\nstreets of cities, towns or villages in the vicinity of state parks, of\nmotor vehicles or pedestrians, for the purpose of soliciting or inducing\nthem to purchase the transportation or services offered.\n 4. The wearing of police-type caps, uniforms or parts of uniforms,\nbadges or insignia which convey the impression that such solicitor is a\npolice officer or has authority by law to require motorists to obey his\nsignal or direction to stop.\n 5. The use of the term "official" on a privately operated information\nstand or by a sightseeing service conducted for private gain unless the\noperator of such stand or service shall have been licensed or duly\nauthorized to operate such stand or conduct such service by the office\nor state agency having jurisdiction of such park, or by the county or\ncity in which such operations are conducted.\n
