§ 1226-w. Audit and annual report. In conformity with the provisions\nof section five of article ten of the constitution, the accounts of the\nwater board and of the authority shall be subject to the supervision of\nthe comptroller and an annual audit shall be performed by an independent\ncertified accountant. The water board and the authority shall annually\nsubmit to the governor and comptroller and to the chairs of senate\nfinance and assembly ways and means committees a detailed report\npursuant to the provisions of section two thousand eight hundred of this\nchapter, and a copy of such report shall be filed with the clerk of the\ncounty and city and of each town and village in the service area.\n
